On Monday, 21 July 2025, the Department of Psychological Guidance and Educational Orientation at University of Alkafeel organized an annual mourning session on the occasion of the martyrdom of Imam Ali ibn al-Husayn al-Sajjad (peace be upon him). The session was held at the presidency building with a wide attendance of academic and administrative figures and an atmosphere of both grief and contemplation of the greatness of his fragrant life .
    There were the university president, Prof.Dr. Nawras Mohammed Shaheed Al-Dahan, the deans , their deputies , department heads, a group of professors, administrative staff, and personnel . The meeting began with a blessed recitation of ayats from Glorious Quran by the reciter. Ali Al-Zubaidi from Glorious Quran Institute pertinent to Holy Al-Abbas Shrine in Najaf. Then awareness-raising moments   and a religious lecture were delivered by his Eminence Sheikh. Ja'far Al-Wa'ili to discuss the state of Imam Sajjad (peace be upon him) as a symbol of faith, patience, and spiritual renewal after Karbala. The lecturer tackled the fact that Imam Zayn Al-Abidin (peace be upon him) did not limit himself to weeping, but rather carried the banner of reform, supplication, and moral education.
   Such is part of the ongoing efforts the university endeavours to germinate religious and human values in the souls of its students and affiliates and to evoke the chronicles of the immaculate Imams (peace be upon them).
