The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has officially included University of Alkafeel in its list of strategic partners for programs related to artificial intelligence, sustainable development, quality education, and greening education, within the framework of the Sustainable Development Network for the region.

    Such selection is the culmination of a series of administrative and scientific steps taken by the university to enhance its international presence and keep pace with global trends in the education sector. The university chancellor , Prof Dr. Nawras Mohammed Shaheed Al-Dahan, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Ali Jassim Al-Amri, Dean of the College of Engineering, were accredited as official representatives of the university in international meetings and training programs organized by UNESCO under the supervision of the regional office, funded by the Government of Japan.

    In this context, Prof.Dr. Nawras Mohammed Al-Dahan stated: "We are proud that University of Alkafeel has joined the UNESCO Partners Network. This achievement reflects our deep commitment to enhancing the quality of education and scientific research and contributing effectively to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, serving our international and local communities."

    Here the partnership affirms the commitment of the university to the vision of the United Nations to achieve the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in the areas of smart education, environment, energy, and sustainable governance. In this regard, the university is officially registered as a member of the Greening Education Partnership, one of the most prominent projects in UNESCO to transform education towards climate adaptation and enhance environmental responsiveness within academic institutions.

    This achievement is a milestone in the journey of University of Alkafeel and is dedicated to all its members and students, who have been and continue to be the cornerstone of building the academic and institutional presence of the university locally and internationally.
