The Al-Kafeel Centre for Translation, in cooperation with the Intellectual and Scientific Society of Al-Ameed , University of Alkafeel and University of Al-Ameed , launched an advanced specialized course on translation in holy shrines . This course is part of an integrated project to develop the skills of translators to serve pilgrims of various nationalities.
The course began on Monday, August 4, 2025, and was attended by a group of professors and experts in the fields of translation and language. It focused on the practical, linguistic, and cultural aspects faced by translators in the holy shrines and constructing a translated discourse that accurately and conscientiously conveys the spiritual and value-based message of religious rituals and shines .
The organizing authorities emphasized that such an effort reflects the strategy of the Holy al-Abbas Shrine to enhance cultural and religious interaction with foreign pilgrims and open horizons of understanding between peoples through thoughtful specialized translation that takes into account the sanctity of the place and the message of the pilgrimage.
