The Department of Psychological Guidance and Educational Orientation   at University of Alkafeel   organized an annual mourning council on Monday, September 1, 2025, to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam al-Hassan al-Askari (peace be upon him). The session was held at the College of Dentistry building, with a large academic and administrative presence.

     The council opened with a blessed recitation of ayats from Glorious Quran by seid. Ali al-Zubaidi from Glorious Quran Institute, pertinent to Holy al-Abbas Shrine in Najaf. The recitation created a profound spiritual atmosphere that prepared souls to remember this great loss.

    His Eminence seid. Ja’far al-Marouj delivered a lecture in which he addressed certain highlights from the fragrant life of Imam al-Hassan al-Askari (peace be upon him) and the injustices he faced during his life. He also tackled the momentous historical event of the Imam, the Master of the Age (may Allah hasten his reappearance), assuming the imamate after the martyrdom of his father.

    The council was attended by the deans of the colleges and a number of professors and affiliates, who emphasized the importance of commemorating these religious occasions at the university, showing  their religious and educational values, embodying the university connection to its authentic identity and its mission to promote religious and ideological awareness among its students and personnel .
