Having chaired by the vice-chancellor for academic affairs, Prof.Dr. Nawal Ayed Al-Mayali, an expanded meeting was held, attended by the director of academic affairs department and academic affairs officials at the colleges, to discuss mechanisms for developing research work and enhancing the quality of academic publishing at the university.

     The meeting addressed the policies for submitting college research plans in the specific time and monitoring their implementation through periodic reports. It also explored ways to improve the skills of the researchers through specialized workshops and seminars organized in cooperation with the Lifelong Learning Department.

     These mechanisms were explained to invite both international and local researchers, benefiting from the subscription of Ministry of Higher Education to databases (Scopus and Clarivate), and activating faculty accounts to increase opportunities for academic , international and publishing cooperation.

    There were several recommendations, the most important of which was increasing research activity among faculty members. Prof.Dr. Nawal Ayed Al-Mayali emphasized that these steps fall within the remit of the University of Alkafeel  commitment to supporting scientific research, developing the skills of its researchers, and exploit international experiences .Such consolidates the position of the university as a leading institution in the academic and research fields.
