Under the supervision of the Alkafeel University Presidency and in the presence of the vice-chancellor for academic affairs, Prof.Dr. Nawal Ayed Al-Mayali, a specialized workshop : "How Researchers Can Leverage Scopus and Clarivate" was held on Wednesday, 17 September 2025. The workshop aimed to enhance the skills of faculty members and researchers in accessing reliable and diverse academic sources.

     The workshop included creating new accounts for faculty members and activating existing accounts, in addition to testing the suitability and reliability of academic journals. This will contribute to raising the quality of academic publishing, improving the  academic ranking locally and internationally, and  the credibility of published research.

    The workshop also addressed research methods and scientific fields appropriate for each researcher, and identified relevant researchers and academic institutions : opening new horizons for research collaboration, publishing, and participation in scientific projects.

    More enthusiastically Prof. Dr. Nawal Ayed Al-Mayali stressed  that such a workshop represents a strategic step toward developing research performance, emphasizing the importance of leveraging Scopus and Clarivate to enhance the quality of the scientific research at the university .

      The workshop was presented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Ali Jaber Al-Dhabawi, Director of the Department of Scientific Affairs; Asst. Prof. Dr. Siddiq Ghani Joda, vice-dean for scientific affairs at  College of Medical and Health Technology; and Asst.Prof.Dr. Ali Abdul Zahra, Director of the  Department of Information Technology at the university , who was responsible for the technical and support aspects of the smart classrooms .
