Under the chairmanship of the College Dean, Prof. Dr. Fadhil Ismail Sharrad, the College of Medical and Health Technologies at University of Alkafeel held its first council meeting for the academic year 2025-2026 on Wednesday,24 September 2025.
The meeting aimed to approve the arrangements for the new academic year, and the council discussed several important topics : updating the curricula, finalizing academic promotion procedures, approving weekly class schedules, distributing teaching assignments, monitoring the academic and research plan, approving graduation projects and assigning supervisors, and addressing requests for deferrals.
The council reached a number of recommendations : most importantly ; completing the curriculum review by the specified timeframe, approving promotions for eligible faculty members, officially adopting the weekly schedules, ensuring an equitable distribution of teaching assignments among faculty members, observing the implementation of the research plan through quarterly reports, approving graduation projects and assigning supervisors, and addressing deferral requests according to the approved regulations.
These steps reflect the commitment of both the dean office and the council to ensuring a smooth and organized starting point to the academic year, thus enhancing the quality of teaching and research.
