A specialized scientific lecture : "Opioids" was held at the College of Pharmacy on Sunday, 5 October2025, presented by Asst .Prof.Dr. Hussein Mahfouz Baharitha from the University of Science Malaysia (USM) via Zoom.
The lecture was attended by the Scientific Assistant to the President of the University, Prof.Dr. Nawal Ayed Al-Mayali, and the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Asst .Prof. Dr. Saad Mashkoor Walid, professors and fourth-year students.
The lecture addressed the types and effects of opioid substances and their uses in the pharmaceutical field, focusing on the health and pharmaceutical aspects and the most prominent scientific challenges in this field. The participants praised the rich scientific content presented by Dr. Hussein Mahfouz, emphasizing the importance of these lectures in developing academic awareness and broadening the horizons of the students in modern pharmacy.
The Deanship of the College also confirmed its commitment to organizing similar international lectures that keep pace with research developments, thus consolidating the position of Al-Kafeel University as a scientific institution that seeks to solidate the competence of its students and keep pace with global developments.
