University of Alkafeel  participated in the second Iraq Education Conference 2025, organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Baghdad, with broad participation from Iraqi universities, private and public, and representatives of international academic institutions.

     The university was represented at the conference by Asst. Prof.Dr. Ahmed Baqer Sharba, Director of Lifelong Learning Centre , and Asst. Prof. Dr. Ali Abdul Zahra Jalil, Director of the Information Technology Department. Such a participation came as part of its interest in strengthening academic communication with higher education institutions inside and outside Iraq, opening up to new experiences in developing curricula and continuing education programs, and employing modern technologies in the educational process.

     The conference was attended by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, and a number of experts and representatives from international institutions such as Times Higher Education, Clarivate, Elsevier, QS, and the Egyptian Knowledge Bank. Participants discussed ways to improve the quality of higher education, strengthen international partnerships, and support scientific research and innovation in Iraqi universities.

     Representatives of University of Alkafeel  emphasized the importance of holding such conferences in developing the educational and research environment and providing opportunities for scientific and technical cooperation between universities. They noted that the university is to implement its plans to establish standards of quality and excellence in education and keeping pace with digital transformations in the academic field.

     The Iraq Education Conference is one of the national initiatives to build a modern educational system based on scientific research and innovation, working to enhance the efficiency of Iraqi universities and highlight their presence in international rankings.
