University Of Alkafeel
Under the patronage of the President of University of Alkafeel , Prof. Dr. Nawras Mohammed Shaheed Al-Dahan, the University Presidency, in cooperation with the Center for Lifelong Learning Centre , held a workshop : " Psychology of Extremism and Terrorism" on Monday, October 13, 2025. The workshop was attended by a group of university students and several instructors.
The workshop was presented by Asst. Prof.Dr. Iyad Sahib Hammadi, who addressed the psychological and behavioral foundations of extremism in his lecture. He explained how extremist ideology is formed, its impact on individuals and societies, and the role of education in building preventative awareness against these negative phenomena.
The lecturer also emphasized the importance of developing critical thinking and encouraging open dialogue in the university environment as effective means of confronting intellectual isolation and rejecting hatred. He praised University of Alkafeel efforts in adopting initiatives to promote the values of moderation and tolerance among students.
