The Department of Medical Laboratory Technologies at the College of Medical and Health Technologies, University of Alkafeel , organized a training workshop on Saturday, October 18, 2025, entitled
“Fundamentals of Examination Committee Work Using Electronic Programs (Excel and UIMS).” The workshop was presented by Asst. Lect. Alaa Mohammed Hussein, Asst. Lect. Hussein Ali Hussein, and Lect. Dr. Raghad Maytham Hamid in the computer lab of the college .
The workshop aimed to familiarize participants with the tasks of the examination committee and the mechanism for organizing work according to ministerial instructions, develop their skills in using Excel to prepare examination schedules, organize grades, and perform accurate calculations. It also focusses on enabling them to use the UIMS electronic system to input grades, monitor students, and issue official reports.
The workshop also included practical applications to explain the procedures for inputting examination data, managing schedules, and organizing electronic files, contributing to the standardization of administrative and technical procedures in the examination committees and ensuring data accuracy and efficiency.
At the end of the workshop, the participants recommended the need to continue holding periodic training workshops to develop the skills of examination committee members in modern electronic systems, to standardize the approved forms and procedures in all departments and provide technical continuous support to practically apply their acquired knowledge .
