On Monday, October 20, 2025, the Department of Medical Laboratory Technologies at the College of Medical and Health Technologies, University of Alkafeel , held an awareness lecture: “ One who repents of Sin Goes without Sin", presented by Prof. Dr. Hussein Al-Bakkaa. The lecture aimed to raise awareness and provide psychological and social guidance by highlighting the importance of supporting and assisting individuals recovering from drug and substance abuse, working to integrate them into society, and providing them with a suitable and comfortable environment that contributes to their return to a normal life and makes them active and positive members of society.
During the lecture, Dr. Al-Bakkaa emphasized the importance of social solidarity and family and psychological support in helping these individuals overcome the stages of treatment, noting that true repentance represents the beginning of a new path towards reform and positive integration into society.
At the end of the lecture, the participants called for intensifying awareness and guidance programs that promote the values of tolerance and cooperation and encourage the adoption of humanitarian initiatives that contribute to building a conscious and cooperative society.
