The Department of Psychological Guidance and Educational Orientation at University of Alkafeel , in cooperation with the College of Dentistry, organized an educational guidance lecture on Monday, October 20, 2025, titled “Filial Piety: Supreme Societal Value,” presented by Assistant School Counsl. Kawthar Kadhim Awda, with the participation of fourth-year students.
The lecture aimed to educate students about the importance of filial piety as a religious, social, human, and moral value, and to instill a sense of responsibility and loyalty towards the family, while acknowledging the kindness and sacrifices of parents in raising their children and germinating in them noble values.
The lecture also focused on promoting positive behavior among students in their interactions with their parents and the elderly in society, reflecting such a concept on the university life by encouraging students to strike a balance between their academic studies and family responsibilities, and to emulate the example of the prophets and imams (peace be upon them) in their filial piety and care for their parents.
The lecture witnessed a positive interaction from the students, who offered contributions that showed their awareness of the moral and human values advocated by religions and societies, emphasizing the importance of reviving the culture of filial piety and kindness in the hearts of young people as a foundation for building a compassionate and cohesive society.
