On Monday,20 October 2025, the Department of Computer Engineering Technologies at the College of Engineering Technology, University of Alkafeel , organized an awareness lecture : “Digital Culture in Contemporary Society,” presented by Asst. Lect. Shahd Ahmed Al-Sharifi.
The lecture aimed to raise the digital culture awareness of the participants and its role in developing their skills in dealing with modern technology, as well as promoting the safe and responsible use of digital technologies in various areas of academic and professional life.
The lecture addressed the concept of digital culture and its impact on contemporary society, how to benefit from technological advancements in the fields of education, work, and social communication, in addition to discussing the topic of digital privacy and the ethics of the electronic content treatment .
The event witnessed significant interaction from the attendees through discussions and interventions that enriched the topics of the lecture and contributed to raising awareness of the importance of digital culture in the modern era, emphasizing the need to enhance technical and ethical awareness in the use of digital media to serve academic and societal development.
