University Of Alkafeel
The Sustainable Development and Environment Committee at University of Alkafeel held its regular meeting on Tuesday, 21 October 2025, chaired by Prof. Dr. Nawal Ayed Al-Miyali, vice-rector for scientific affairs, and attended by all members.
The meeting discussed the ways to support the initiatives of the university to achieve the global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by developing environmental and scientific projects that contribute to consolidating the values of sustainability and achieving comprehensive development on the campus and beyond.
Other important topics related to quality education, clean energy, climate action, and partnerships for achieving the goals were tackled . Such emphasizes the role of the university in translating these goals into tangible practical projects.
Dr. Al-Miyali stressed the importance of connecting the university activities with the local community through awareness programs and research initiatives that serve the environment and promote scientific awareness, reinforcing the commitment of the University of Alkafeel to its academic and national role in supporting sustainability.
