The Psychological and Educational Guidance Unit at the College of Medicine, University of Alkafeel , organized a guidance lecture on Saturday, 25 October 2025 : "Social Intelligence: Key to Academic and Social Success," presented by Counsl. Noor Maytham Al-Hakim to third-year students.
The lecture aimed to introduce students to the concept of social intelligence and its importance in university, personal, and professional life, and to enhance effective communication skills between them and their colleagues and professors, which will positively reflect on the university learning environment. The lecture also addressed a range of educational topics : developing the ability to understand the feelings and motivations of others to boost positive interaction, develop the skills in managing emotions , resolve conflicts in a constructive and civilized manner and enhance self-awareness among students, which contributes to achieving academic success and psychological stability.
At the end of the lecture, Counsl. Noor Maitham Al-Hakim emphasized that social intelligence is one of the basic components of success in academic and professional life . Moreover , these skills are to be applied to their daily interactions on campus and beyond to build relationships based on respect, understanding, and cooperation.
