Lifelong Learning Section at the College of Dentistry presented a scientific lecture on Monday, November 3, 2025, delivered by Inst. Maher Balash Mohammed. The lecture aimed to raise awareness among students and staff about the importance of nutrition and its role in oral and dental health.
The lecture covered the impact of nutrients on tooth growth and health, and dietary factors that cause cavities or gum inflammation. Practical nutritional advice was provided, and the floor was opened for discussion and questions from the audience to enhance scientific understanding.
The lecturer recommended including nutrition in regular lectures and urged students to engage in community outreach and prepare awareness posters to be displayed in teaching clinics to promote health education and prevent oral diseases.
