University Of Alkafeel
The College of Pharmacy at University of Alkafeel , Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, organized a three-day training course : "Principles and Assessment of Visual Acuity." The course was held at the college from 3 to 5 November 2025, with the participation of several faculty members and students. The course was presented by: Asst.Prof. Dr. Saad Mashkour Waleed, Asst.Prof. Mohammed Karim Al-Husseini, and Lect. Dr. Yahya Ibrahim Yahya.
The course aimed to develop the abilities of the participants in assessing the efficiency of the visual system and measuring visual acuity, as it is one of the most important health indicators reflecting the visual clarity of the individual . It also aimed to introduce them to the scientific principles used in diagnosing vision problems and methods for assessing them according to modern standards.
The course included theoretical and practical sessions on the concept of visual acuity, the importance of early detection, accurate measurement methods, and the latest techniques used in clinical examinations. At the end of the session, the floor was opened for discussion and answering the inquiries of the participants in a remarkable interaction that reflects the importance of the topic and its connection to health practices and pharmaceutical applications.
