The Anesthesia Technology Department organized a specialized training workshop for its students on Tuesday, 4 November 2025, focusing on the operation of the electrocardiogram (ECG) machine. The workshop was supervised by Asst.Resh. Mudhar Mahmoud Shaker , aimed to introduce students to the fundamental principles of the device and develop their skills in reading and analyzing ECGs and also provided training on the proper and safe connection of electrodes and operation of the machine in a clinical setting. There were a theoretical component explaining cardiac waves and their components, a practical session on electrode placement, machine operation, and professional interpretation of results. This practical application enhanced the understanding of the students on the precise clinical practices.
The workshop concluded with a discussion of common errors during ECG procedures and how to avoid them, emphasizing the importance of adhering to occupational safety and sterilization procedures to ensure high-quality performance and patient safety.
