University Of Alkafeel
On Monday, 17 November 2025, the Community Service Unit of the College of Dentistry at University of Alkafeel conducted a field visit to the Middle Euphrates Oncology Center in Najaf. The visit included faculty members, staff, and students from the college, and was part of the community outreach activities to promote humanitarian work and community service.
The visit aimed to instill a sense of social responsibility in the students, familiarize them with the programs of the center , and provide them with insights into the nature of their conditions. It also aimed to offer moral support to the patients and convey a message of solidarity from the college community.
The visit included a tour to various departments at the centre , where the delegation observed the services and treatments offered to the patients and received a detailed explanation of the efforts of the centre to the patient care and support. The activity also included a humanitarian aspect : interacting with patients and offering them psychological support.
The visit resulted in the adoption of a set of recommendations : strengthening cooperation between the college and the center to organize joint future activities, activating the role of students in community activities of a humanitarian nature, and preparing joint awareness programs on cancer prevention and early detection. These visits will also be documented in the annual plan to support the participation of the college in community service.
