Under the patronage of Prof.Dr. Nawras Mohammed Shaheed Al-Dahan, President of University of Alkafeel , and the supervision of Prof.Dr. Nawal Ayed Al-Mayali, Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs, the Department of Psychological Guidance and Educational Orientation held the second edition of Psychological Guidance and Educational Orientation   Week for the 2025-2026 academic year. This event was held in accordance with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which calls for holding this week in all Iraqi universities, on Saturday, 22 November 2025.

     Prof.Dr. Nawal Ayed Al-Mayali Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs, emphasized that the university, through these activities, seeks to create a positive guidance impact among students and highlight the importance of the educational and guidance aspects in the learning process. She noted that University of Alkafeel  is always at the forefront of holding such events, which raise the academic and psychological awareness of students and support them psychologically and educationally throughout their educational journey.

     Asst.Prof.Dr. Hussam Ali Hassan Al-Obaidi, Director of the Department of Psychological Guidance and Educational Orientation, explained that the second edition of the Guidance Week aims to strengthen the educational and guidance role within the university and provide psychological support and educational guidance to students, helping them face academic, social, and psychological challenges in their university environment.

    Al-Obaidi added that the activities of the week include a variety of interactive events :  hosting teams from secondary and primary schools, as well as children from the "Ain" Social Charity Foundation, to provide them with moral and material support. There are also programs specifically designed for university students : guidance lectures, debates, and specialized seminars in psychology and education, all aimed at strengthening guidance efforts and enhancing educational awareness within the university community.

     “ Guidance Week” is part of the vision of the university to provide a comprehensive and diverse learning environment that supports university students psychologically and educationally, and offers them opportunities to develop their personal and academic skills, positively impacting their academic and life journeys.
