On Monday, 1 December 2025, the Computer Engineering Technology Department at the College of Engineering Technology organized a lecture : "Life in the Wild," presented by Asst. Lect. Haider Hassan Abdulhadi. Such a lecture was part of the efforts for the university to promote commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals and environmental sustainability.
The lecture highlighted the importance of protecting terrestrial ecosystems and preserving biodiversity. It emphasized the need for sustainable land management and improving the quality of natural resources to ensure the continuity of wildlife and achieve a balance between environmental and social development.
The session also addressed the initiatives of the university in sustainable agriculture and improving water quality standards, focusing on community awareness programs to promote environmental responsibility among students and the community. It highlighted the pioneering role of the university in implementing environmental protection strategies and preserving terrestrial resources.
The lecture concluded by emphasizing the leadership of the university in the responsible management of terrestrial resources and encouraging community participation in environmental protection. It also stressed the importance of enhancing environmental awareness among students and establishing a culture of sustainability to ensure a safe and balanced future for ecosystems in Iraq.
