College of Medical and Health Technologies at Al-Kafeel University launched an awareness campaign targeting university students to educate them about common respiratory and gastrointestinal viruses, as part of its volunteer work activities.
The campaign aims to raise awareness of preventative measures and promote a culture of healthy behavior in the university environment. Such comes into fore through providing students with direct guidance on methods to reduce the transmission of infection, emphasizing the importance of personal hygiene, washing hands with soap and water, and wearing masks in crowded places or when experiencing symptoms.
The campaign also included explaining the correct procedures to follow when symptoms appear, stressing the importance of covering the mouth and nose when coughing using the elbow or a tissue and disposing of it immediately, and refraining from sharing personal items or eating and drinking utensils.
There was an emphasis on the importance of receiving recommended vaccinations to enhance student protection and reduce the spread of diseases in the university community.
