The College of Health and Medical Technologies at University of Alkafeel organized an awareness campaign for screening diabetes, blood pressure, and blood type. The campaign aims for the early detection of diabetes and hypertension among students by measuring blood sugar and blood pressure levels. It is also to determine blood type and encourage students to accurately register it on their national identity cards to ensure the speed and accuracy of blood transfusions when needed.
This campaign was part of a series of health initiatives implemented by the university to promote health awareness among students. Recommendations were provided to students based on their blood test results: consultations with specialists for those with results indicating potential health problems, and the adoption of healthy diets for those with slightly elevated blood type levels. Emphasis was also placed on the importance of maintaining accurate blood type information. Participants praised the importance of these campaigns in promoting public health and raising health awareness among students.
