In a cultural and spiritual atmosphere reflecting its commitment to ethical values and authentic university identity, and under the generous patronage of His Eminence Custodian of Holy Abbas  Shrine , may Allah last his glory ,  University of Alkafeel  held on Sunday, 14 December 2025, a ceremony to celebrate and honor girl students who adhere to wearing the abaya during official working hours and lectures. This event marked the twelfth version of such a blessed initiative .

    The ceremony began with a recitation of ayats from Glorious Quran by Reciter. Ali Al-Zubaidi from the Institute of Glorious Quran in Najaf, pertinent to Holy Abbas Shrine. Then there was a speech delivered on behalf of the President of University of Alkafeel , Prof.Dr. Nawras Muhammed Shaheed Al-Dahan, by Asst. Prof. Dr. Hussam Ali Hassan Al-Ubaidi, Director of the Department of Psychological Guidance and Educational Orientation at the university.

     The word of the university president emphasized that this initiative represents a steadfast educational and ethical approach adopted by the university to promote authentic Islamic values, instilling the concepts of modesty and decency , and building a balanced university personality capable of confronting the intellectual and cultural challenges of our time.

    The ceremony also featured an awareness lecture delivered by Amira Al-Moosawi from Hussaini Oration Section for Women at the Holy Abbas Shrine. In her lecture, the significance of the hijab and abaya and their role in preserving human dignity and strengthening faith-based identity was tackled to stress the importance of awareness and adherence to these values in the face of the contemporary changes.  This year's initiative witnessed broad participation, with over 650 girl students from various colleges of University of Alkafeel  honored, reflecting the high level of awareness and ethical commitment among the students.

    Through these impactful initiatives, University of Alkafeel  continues to solidify its educational and humanitarian mission and its ongoing pursuit of combining academic excellence with ethical commitment, thus contributing to the development of a conscious and responsible university generation.
