Lifelong Learning Unit at the College of Pharmacy organized an awareness training course: "Types of Addiction" on Monday, December 15, 2025, with the participation of several faculty members and students.
The course was presented by Asst.Lect. Rasel Hammoudi Hassan, who addressed various aspects of addiction in its different forms, particularly behavioral and chemical addiction, highlighting its psychological, social, scientific, and religious causes and its negative repercussions on the individual and society. Such an event enhances the health and cultural awareness among the participants and explains the methods of prevention, treatment, and recovery by offering practical solutions and guidance that contribute to reducing this serious phenomenon. The College of Pharmacy and its Lifelong Learning Unit are keen to show their efforts to disseminate awareness and the humanitarian and scientific role of academic institutions in addressing contemporary societal challenges.
