On Saturday, 20 December 2025, the College of Pharmacy at University of Alkafeel , in cooperation with Axis Business Solutions, organized a scientific and professional training workshop : “Pharmaceutical Communication: Building Professional Awareness and Shaping the Future of Pharmacy,” under the supervision of the Dean of the College. The workshop was presented by Dr. Omar Faris Al-Samarrai and Dr. Abdullah Abdul-Razzaq Al-Nujaifi from Axis Business Solutions.
The workshop aimed to develop professional awareness among pharmacy students and bridge the gap between academic studies and the demands of the job market by enhancing their job interview skills and understanding the fundamentals of business in the pharmaceutical sector.
The workshop covered two main themes: Mastering Interview Skills to enhance presentation and interview skills, and Pharma Business Insights to broaden students' understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, career paths, market principles, and professional communication.
The workshop resulted in several important recommendations : incorporating the workshop into an annual plan to prepare students for the job market; conducting follow-up practical sessions such as mock interviews and CV/LinkedIn clinics; establishing a career mentorship program for students and graduates; and measuring the workshop's impact through pre- and post-workshop surveys to ensure improved interview skills, resume readiness, and understanding of career paths.
