More into the heart of its series of Doctrine and Fiqh Lessons, Asst.Prof. Dr. Hussam Ali Hassan Al-Obaidi, Director of the Department of Psychological Guidance and Educational Orientation at University of Alkafeel , delivered a lecture : "Human Freedom and Responsibility for Actions" on Tuesday, 23 December 2025.
In his lecture, Dr. Al-Obaidi addressed the concept of human freedom in Islamic thought, the limits of this freedom, and its relationship to individual responsibility. He emphasized the impact of conscious choice in holding individuals accountable for their actions. He also highlighted the ethical and behavioral dimensions of these concepts and their role in building the individual and society, while promoting awareness of the importance of making sound decisions and acting responsibly. The lecture was met with positive feedback from the attendees, who affirmed the commitment of the university to providing students with religious and ethical knowledge that supports their academic and personal development.
