Under the patronage of the President of University of Alkafeel , Prof. Dr. Nawras Mohammed Shaheed Al-Dahan, the Department of Psychological Guidance and Educational Orientation at University of Alkafeel  held a celebratory and honoring ceremony for outstanding students with special needs. The event was attended by the deans of the colleges, their assistants, a number of staff members, students, and their families on Saturday, 27 December 2025.

     The ceremony evidently reflects the commitment of the University to supporting this important segment of students, boosting their self-confidence, and highlighting their abilities and potential, which enable them to continue their academic journey and achieve their aspirations in the face of the challenges they face.

    There were various speeches to emphasize the importance of psychological and moral support and demonstrate that the special needs are not obstacles to creativity and excellence. The speakers showcased inspiring examples of individuals who have made significant contributions to society and served humanity despite their physical disabilities.

     The event also featured presentations by visually impaired individuals from various fields :Quran recitation, poetry, and academic work. These individuals served as inspiring role models for university students, conveying a clear message that the willpower and determination can overcome any challenge.

     For his part, Asst. Prof. Dr. Hussam Ali Hassan Al-Obaidi, Director of the Department of Psychological Guidance and Educational Orientation at University of Alkafeel , affirmed that these activities are part of the ongoing plan of the department to provide psychological and educational support to students and to build an inclusive university environment that promotes equality and equal opportunities, contributing to the empowerment of all students without exception.

    The event concluded with the honoring of outstanding students in an atmosphere of positive interaction and pride in their abilities, reflecting the university mission to nurture human potential and support its journey to success and excellence.
