University Of Alkafeel
Prof. Dr. Nawras Muhammad Shaheed Al-Dahan, President of Alkafeel University, received the mayor of Najaf, Engr. Yusuf Kanawi, on Tuesday, 30 December 2025, for an official visit to observe the facilities of the university facilities and the existing infrastructure.
The visit was part of efforts to strengthen communication between the university and the local government and to follow up on the development and service projects implemented by the university to provide a comprehensive educational environment.
During the field visit, the Mayor inspected the educational, administrative, and service facilities and listened to a detailed explanation from the university administration regarding future plans to develop the facilities and modernize the infrastructure to meet the requirements of modern education.
The university president emphasized that these achievements were made in accordance with the directives of the General Secretariat of the Holy Abbas Shrine, serving education and developing the youths . He pointed out that the university was built by Iraqi hands and equipped with all the necessary facilities.
The Mayor praised the efforts exerted by the Holy Abbas Shrine and its projects, affirming the support of the local government for leading educational institutions that contribute to raising the level of education and enhancing community service in the province.
Such a tour comes in the context of strengthening cooperation between university of Alkafeel and the government agencies to ensure the best results in developing the educational process and university facilities.
