On Monday morning, 5 January 2026, the Department of Psychological Guidance and Educational Orientation at University of Alkafeel organized a commemoration ceremony to mark the martyrdom anniversary of Seida. Zaynab al-Kubra (peace be upon her). The ceremony was attended by the University President, Prof.Dr. Nawras Muhammed Shaheed Al-Dahan, along with several deans, faculty members, and staff. The ceremony began with a recitation from Glorious Quran by Seid. Muhannad al-Mayali from the Institute of Glorious Quran , pertinent to Holy Abbas Shrine in Najaf, which gave a spiritual atmosphere to the occasion.
At the gathering, His Eminence Sheikh Shihab Al-Amiri delivered a valuable lecture reviewing the life of Seida. Zaynab (peace be upon her), emphasizing her prominent role in supporting Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) and conveying the message of the Husseini revolution to future generations. He also highlighted her steadfastness and courage in confronting injustice and the profound legacy she left in Islamic history as a symbol of unwavering commitment to truth and sacrifice for principles.
The gathering concluded with prayers to Allah Almighty to protect the Muslim Ummah and guide everyone to adhere to the path of the Ahlalbayt (peace be upon them), recalling the human and spiritual values embodied by Seida. Zaynab (peace be upon her) throughout her life.
