On Sunday, 4 January 2026, the College of Medicine at University of Alkafeel held a scientific lecture as part of its medical education program : "Medical Ethics." The lecture was delivered by Professor Mahdi Saeed from the University of Michigan, USA.
The lecture addressed the ethical foundations of medical practice and the importance of instilling professional and humanitarian values in the character of the physician . It focused on professional responsibility, respect for patients, teamwork, and the role of medical ethics in clinical decision-making, connecting these concepts to contemporary medical practice.
The participants recommended integrating medical ethics concepts into the curriculum, promoting awareness of professional values among medical students from their earliest years, and encouraging similar lectures and workshops with the participation of international academic experts. The aim is to contribute to preparing a generation of physicians aware of the responsibilities and ethics of their profession.
More evidently the activity shows the commitment of the College of Medicine at University of Alkafeel to strengthening the ethical and humanitarian aspects of medical education and developing the professional and personal skills of the students , thereby contributing to the preparation of well-rounded physicians, both scientifically and ethically.
