The Department of Psychological Guidance and Educational Orientation at University of Alkafeel /College of Medical and Health Technologies organized a lecture : "Psychological and Academic Preparation for Freshman Students " on Monday, 5 January 2026. The lecture, presented by Counsl. Noor Safaa Al-Shaibani, targeted Freshman Students in the Optometry Techniques Department.
The lecture focused on the importance of psychological preparation to help students adapt to the new university environment, manage anxiety and fear, and enhance self-confidence and psychological stability. It also addressed academic aspects such as time management, attendance, developing self-learning skills, and taking academic responsibility.
The lecture emphasized the role of psychological orientation in supporting students and opening channels of communication with the department, thereby enhancing their awareness of the importance of psychological and academic support for achieving success and excellence throughout their university journey.
