The Laboratory Safety and Quality Committee at University of Alkafeel held its second meeting on Sunday, 4 January 2026, to observe the implementation of national laboratory quality standards in the colleges.
The committee discussed the proposed form for adoption as a tool to ensure the application of Iraqi laboratory quality standards and reviewed the findings of the workshop conducted by the committee chair, Dr. Mohammed Zuhair Hassan, and the head of the Laboratory Accreditation Division, Asst. Prof.Noor Hassoun, in the presence of quality assurance officers, laboratory supervisors, and research assistants from the colleges.
The committee also set deadlines for implementing national standards by conducting field visits to all laboratories in the colleges to ensure compliance with the standards and achieve the required level of quality.
Such a meeting manifests the efforts of the University of Alkafeel to enhance safety and ensure the quality of laboratories, and to provide a scientific academic environment that conforms to national standards and supports scientific research and practical training for students.
