The Quality Assurance and University Performance Evaluation Department/Laboratory Accreditation Division at University of Alkafeel , under the supervision of Lifelong Learning Center, organized a workshop: "Implementing Iraqi Standards on Laboratory Quality" on Saturday, January 4, 2026.
The workshop was presented by Asst. Prof. Noor Hassoun Kadhim, Head of the Laboratory Accreditation Division, and Dr. Mohammed Zuhair Hassan, Head of the Laboratory Safety and Quality Committee at the university , with the participation of quality assurance officers from the colleges and research assistants from its laboratories.
The workshop aimed to prepare laboratory technicians to implement and update quality assurance files, ensuring their continued compliance with Iraqi laboratory accreditation standards as outlined in the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research's 2022 guide. This was achieved by explaining the procedures for completing the forms specific to each laboratory and its specialization and emphasizing the proper coding of laboratory equipment according to the approved ministerial system.
At the conclusion of the workshop, the importance of completing the implementation of these standards in a specified timeframe was stressed, in preparation for visits by university internal audit committees.
