On Wednesday morning, 14 January 2026, the Department of Psychological Guidance and Educational Orientation at University of Alkafeel commemorated the tragic anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Mosa ibn Ja'far (peace be upon him). The event was attended by the University President, Prof. Dr. Nawras Mohammed Shaheed Al-Dahan, the Vice President for Scientific Affairs, Prof.Dr. Nawal Ayed Al-Mayali, deans of colleges, their deputies, faculty members, and university staff.
The gathering began with a blessed recitation from Glorious Quran by reciter Seid. Muhannad Al-Mayali, Director of Glorious Quran Institute, pertinent to Holy Abbas Shrine in Najaf, which infused the occasion with an atmosphere of tranquility and spirituality.
The session included a religious lecture delivered by His Eminence Sheikh Jaafar Al-Waeli, in which he reviewed aspects of the life of Imam Mosa Al-Kadhim (peace be upon him), highlighting his knowledge, piety, and steadfastness in the face of injustice and the challenges he faced from the Abbasid rulers.
His Eminence the Sheikh focused on the noble values embodied by Imam Al-Kadhim (peace be upon him), emphasizing the necessity of emulating his example to strengthen the values of reform and justice in society. This activity comes as part of University of Alkafeel ongoing efforts to enhance religious and cultural awareness in the university community, instill high human values, and build a conscious and influential generation.
