Prof. Dr. Hassanein Shaker Mahmoud, vice-dean of the College of Pharmacy for scientific affairs, held an extensive meeting with professors of practical courses on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, to discuss a new mechanism for managing laboratory sessions. This mechanism relies on standardizing subgroups and integrating students of varying academic levels within a single group.
Such a strategy aims to improve practical performance in the laboratories, raise the academic level of the students, and promote collaborative learning and constructive competition. The idea was inspired by a student initiative that proved successful in a pilot program last year.
The meeting confirmed the adoption of the new strategy and its implementation across all academic levels, starting from the second semester. A special recognition program will be established for the top-performing group to encourage excellence and innovation.
