Regarding Updates on the 4th International Scientific Conference (2022 ISCKU)

Following our previous statement dated October 25, 2025, and as a result of diligent follow-up and direct negotiations conducted by a specialized team from Alkafeel University with the American Institute of Physics (AIP) Publishing at their headquarters in the United States, the Presidency of Alkafeel University wishes to inform the respected researchers who participated in the fourth edition of its international scientific conference that our university has received an official notification from AIP Publishing. This notification contains a fundamental decision that serves the interest of the researchers, summarized as follows:

1.  Relinquishment of Publishing Rights:
   AIP Publishing has officially decided to relinquish exclusive publishing rights for all previously retracted research papers. Researchers are now granted full freedom to publish their work in other journals without any legal or technical restrictions from AIP.

2. Correction of the Legal Status:
   The journal will update the Retraction Notice on its official website to include a clarification allowing researchers to reclaim full ownership of their scientific output. This is facilitated by contacting the journal's Rights and Permissions team to enable the republication process. The quoted text regarding this is as follows:

3. Commendation of University Standards :
   In its official letter, AIP Publishing expressed appreciation for Alkafeel University's cooperation, stating: "We appreciate the University of Alkafeel's cooperation throughout this process and their commitment to transparency and ethical publishing standards”

4. Opening New Horizons:
   This decision provides a clear path forward for the affected authors to republish their scientific work in other reputable journals.

   Available Options for Researchers

   Out of the university's commitment to protecting researchers' rights and providing flexible solutions, the following options are presented to the researchers:

   • Option A: Withdraw the publishing rights from the journal and receive a full refund of fees from the university, allowing the researcher to publish elsewhere independently.
   • Option B: Maintain the current status of the research with AIP Publishing without taking any additional action.
   • Option C: Withdraw the publishing rights and authorize the university to follow up on republishing the work through another reputable publisher, provided the requirements of the new publisher are met.

   Researchers wishing to reclaim their publishing rights must contact the AIP Publishing Rights and Permissions team via the official email (Rights@AIP.org) following the updated notice by the journal, prior to submitting their research to any other publishing entity.
