Asst. Prof. Dr. Samer Makki Al-Hakkak, Dean of the College of Medicine at University of Alkafeel , welcomed Prof.Dr. Adel Abu Zaid Issa, the external examiner from the College of Medicine at the University of Duhok, for a scientific visit that lasted from19 to 20 January 2026.
The visit included a tour of the examination halls, an overview of the examination systems and evaluation and follow-up mechanisms, and meeting with a number of student .
The guest expressed his admiration for the advanced level he observed at the college in terms of academic organization and educational infrastructure.
The visit aimed to exchange academic expertise and enhance scientific and professional cooperation between the College of Medicine at University of Alkafeel and the College of Medicine at the University of Duhok, and to utilize the feedback and evaluations provided to improve examination and assessment systems.
There were certain recommendations : strengthening joint academic collaboration between the two universities, continuing to host external faculty members, supporting academic openness, and building international and local scientific partnerships to prepare distinguished physicians, both scientifically and professionally.
