The College of Dentistry at University of Alkafeel organized a workshop : "Principles of Wound Suturing in Dental Practice," supervised by Asst. Prof. Dr. Ghassan Nazik Al-Da'mi, during the spring break. The workshop aimed to enhance the practical skills of fourth- and fifth-year dental students in wound suturing in the clinical practice of dentistry, strengthening the practical application and the theoretical knowledge.
There were theoretical sessions on the fundamental principles of wound suturing and practical applications that allowed students to develop their clinical competence and gain direct practical experience, thus enhancing their readiness for efficient clinical work.
The workshop concluded with a set of recommendations : the importance of continuous practical training for clinical-year students, strengthening basic surgical skills before full-time clinical engagement, continuing to hold practical workshops during academic breaks, and supporting activities that contribute to raising their professional competence.
