The College of Health and Medical Technologies – Anesthesia Technology Department at University of Alkafeel held a scientific and practical workshop: "Blood Types" in the Physiology Laboratory on Sunday, February 1, 2026.
The workshop was led by Asst.Lect. Fadak Mansour Abdul-Ridha and Dr. Mudhar Mahmoud Shaker. It included a theoretical explanation of blood types and the ABO and Rh systems, with practical applications of blood typing and an explanation of its importance in medical practice, especially in cases of anesthesia and blood transfusion.
The workshop aimed to introduce students to different blood types and their characteristics, enhance their practical and applied skills, and provide an opportunity for discussion and answering student questions. The participants recommended continuing to hold similar scientific workshops in the future due to their positive impact on raising scientific awareness and developing the practical skills of the students .
