University of Alkafeel adopts an advanced Emergency Medicine curriculum , an integrated educational module, in scientific collaboration with Stanford University, as part of its ongoing efforts to boost the level of medical education and keep abreast with the latest international standards.
The curriculum targets fourth-year medical students at University of Alkafeel and lasts for the sixth year to develop their clinical and practical skills in handling emergency cases and enhance their readiness to work in various healthcare institutions. This curriculum represents a significant academic contribution , as University of Alkafeel is regarded the first of the Iraqi universities to adopt a comprehensive emergency medicine curriculum in partnership with a reputable international university. This contributes to improving the outcomes of medical education and raising the competence of graduates.
The curriculum was launched on Sunday, 8 February 2026, as part of the university plan to develop curricula and strengthen international academic collaboration , which will positively impact students and serve the healthcare sector in the country. Such a gesture comes as part of the commitment of the University to consolidating its scientific standing and providing sound medical education that keeps pace with modern developments and contributes to preparing qualified medical personnel capable of facing the challenges of the health reality.
