As part of its ongoing support for creative talents and student skills development, and under the auspices of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and under the slogan “Make Your University Your Inspiration,” Al-Kafeel University organized a ceremony on Monday, 9 February 2026, to announce and honor the winners of the fourth edition of the “My University with  My Lens” competition (2025-2026).

     The ceremony began with a recitation of an ayat from Glorious Quran by Seid. Muhannad Al-Mayali, Director of Glorious Quran Institute , pertinent to Holy Abbas Shrine in Najaf. Then there was a speech delivered by Asst. Prof.Dr. Akram Jalal, Head of Higher Committee for Implementing University Leadership Week Program, who emphasized the importance of supporting purposeful student initiatives and fostering a spirit of creativity and innovation in the university environment.

     In the event there were Prof.Dr. Nawal Ayed Al-Mayali, Vice-President of the University for Scientific Affairs, deans of colleges , their deputies, and  the ministerial delegation headed by Asst. Prof. Dr. Khalid Omran Ali, Chairman of the Committee for Following Up Global Entrepreneurship Week Activities, and his accompanying delegation.

     This competition is part of the student and media activities organized by the Department of Media and Government Communication in cooperation with the Technology Incubators Department/Entrepreneurship Division. Its aim is to develop the skills of the students in e-marketing and digital content creation, and to transform their ideas into practical, applicable models through producing short videos showcasing the aesthetic, scientific, and environmental aspects of the university.

      There was a wide participation from Alkafeel University students. The submitted works were evaluated by a specialized panel based on criteria of creativity, quality of filming, innovation, and adherence to the competition theme, reflecting a spirit of positive competition among the participants. At the end of the ceremony, the winners were honored. Through this initiative, University of Alkafeel affirmed its commitment to supporting young talents and encouraging students to project a bright image of their university, reflecting its academic and societal standing and contributing to building a creative generation capable of keeping pace with the demands of the times and establishing a culture of leadership and innovation in the university environment.
