Prof Dr. Nawras Muhammed Shaheed Al-Dahan, President of University of Alkafeel , received Prof.Dr. Amin Abdul-Hassan Maneh Al-Alwani, Dean of the College of Medicine at the University of Baghdad and Head of the Committee of Deans of Medical Colleges in Iraq, on Wednesday, 11 February 2026, for a visit to review the scientific and academic status of the university.

     The meeting was also attended by Prof. Dr. Nawal Ayed Al-Mayali, Vice-Chancellor for Scientific Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Samer Maki Al-Hakkak, Dean of the College of Medicine, and his assistants for scientific and administrative affairs.

     The visit was part of a tour by the Deans of Medical Colleges to support and encourage all colleges, both public and private, and review the scientific facilities, the integrated curriculum, and the distinguished educational environment at University of Alkafeel .

       The last destination was a tour of the university halls and laboratories, where the visitor expressed his admiration for the advanced infrastructure, the integrated staff, and the commitment of the students to the academic programs and ministerial directives. He emphasized that the shared goal of all colleges is to graduate competent physicians capable of serving the community.

      Dr. Al-Alwani commended the adherence of the university to the academic programs and ministerial directives, noting that all students belong to the same academic track under the umbrella of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. Such necessitates providing a comprehensive educational environment that supports and strengthens the efforts of the university in preparing distinguished medical professionals. He also praised the role of the Holy Abbas Shrine in supporting the educational process and academic initiatives, stressing the importance of continued cooperation on projects that serve the community.

     For their part, the university president and the dean of the College of Medicine expressed their gratitude for the visit, affirming the commitment of the University of Alkafeel to developing its educational programs to meet modern academic standards and enhance the level of medical education and scientific research to ensure graduates capable of serving the community.
