On Saturday, 14 February  2026, at 10:00 AM, University of Alkafeel   launched its first annual Grand Cultural Competition, organized by the Holy Abbas Shrine for students of Alkafeel and Al-Ameed Universities. This initiative reflects the commitment of the university to its vision of supporting a generation with cultural awareness and capabilities rooted in our authentic principles and values, and encouraging young people to develop their culture and enhance their knowledge.

    The President of University of Alkafeel  , Prof.Dr. Nawras Muhammed Shaheed Al-Dahan, observed the smart halls equipped with computers and tablets, which were prepared for conducting the tests of the competition electronically using the Al-Siraj educational system. He reviewed the technical and organizational preparations for the success of this cultural event.

 More cordially , the president commended the efforts of those organizing the competition, urging all students to exert their utmost efforts and actively participate. He wished them success in this enriching and educational experience. For his part, Asst. Prof. Dr. Hussam Ali Hassan Al-Obaidi, Director of the Department of Psychological Guidance and Educational Orientation at the university and a member of the supervisory committee for competitions, explained that the committee exerted considerable efforts to achieve the objectives of the competition and provide a suitable environment to ensure its success. He noted the participation of students from all academic levels and colleges in the university.

        However , Al-Obaidi emphasized that this competition represents an important step in enhancing the cultural and intellectual awareness of the students and contributes to building well-rounded academic personalities capable of serving society and bearing responsibility.
