The Lifelong Learning Unit at the College of Pharmacy, in cooperation with the Pharmaceutical Chemistry Department, organized a scientific lecture : "How to Use Mendeley" on Monday, 23 February 2026, in Al-Balaghy Hall. The lecture was delivered by Dr. Ahlam Hussein Hassan.
The lecture included a practical demonstration of how to enter and organize scientific sources in the program, how to insert citations in texts, and how to choose different documentation styles. It also offered important tips for improving the quality of scientific research and ensuring the accuracy of documentation according to established academic standards.
The lecture recommended encouraging faculty members and researchers to adopt Mendeley for preparing research papers and theses, conducting practical workshops to enhance their skills, and including training on reference management software in the regular scientific activities of the college . The lecture contributed to raising awareness of the importance of correct documentation and reducing common scientific errors.
