The Women Affairs Unit at the College of Dentistry, University of Alkafeel , organized an awareness lecture : "Role of Educational Institutions in Combating Violence Against Women and Girls." The lecture was delivered by Asst. Prof. Dr. Karim Maktoof Attia, Dean of the College of Dentistry, on Tuesday, 3 March 2026.
The lecture focused on the importance of the educational role of academic institutions in disseminating a culture of non-violence, promoting awareness of women and girl rights, and building a safe learning environment based on respect and equality. The lecture also addressed the role of universities in supporting initiatives that contribute to protecting women and instilling human values within society.
At the conclusion of the event, the Women Affairs Unit emphasized its commitment to strengthening awareness programs pertinent to women issues in educational institutions and supporting initiatives to combat violence against women and girls and establishing a culture of respect and equality in the university environment. The unit also pledged to continue organizing awareness events as part of its activities.
