The Department of Anesthesia Technology at the College of Medical and Health Technologies, University of Alkafeel , organized an awareness workshop : "First Aid" at Al-Thakireen Preparatory School for Boys on Sunday, March 8, 2026. The workshop was attended by faculty members from the department ; Dr. Muntha Abdullah Rishan, Dr. Muhammad Sarim Hamza, Mr. Ali Hassan Jassim, and Mr. Maitham Dhia Subhi.
The workshop covered the principles of first aid and its importance in dealing with emergencies in the school environment. It aimed to equip the teaching staff with the basic knowledge and skills to handle injuries and sudden accidents, thus contributing to the safety of students and minimizing complications until medical care arrives. The workshop organizers emphasized the importance of promoting health awareness in educational institutions, noting the necessity of organizing regular first aid workshops and training courses for teaching staff. They also stressed the importance of offering a fully equipped first aid kit to each school and disseminating first aid culture among students and staff to ensure a safer school environment.
