Muslims commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him) these days, a great figure who embodied justice, wisdom, and asceticism, and whose shining examples of upholding truth and establishing equity among people are immortalized in history.

     In this context, the Department of Psychological Guidance and Educational Orientation at University of Alkafeel  organized a mourning ceremony to commemorate this sorrowful occasion. The ceremony was attended by the University President, Prof. Dr. Nawras Muhammed Shaheed Al-Dahan, and the Vice-Chancellor for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Nawal Ayed Al-Mayali, deans, assistant deans, faculty members, university staff, and students.

     The gathering began with a blessed recitation from Glorious Quran by student Mohammed Ali Rashid from the College of Medical and Health Technologies at University of Alkafeel . This was followed by a mourning ceremony and a religious lecture delivered by His Eminence Sheikh. Jaafar Al-Waeli, who reviewed key moments in the life of Imam Ali (peace be upon him), highlighting his justice, insight, and wise leadership.

     The lecture also addressed aspects of the Imam's (peace be upon him) stances that set a high standard in establishing the principles of truth and serving the nation, drawing lessons and sapience from his blessed life, which continues to be a guiding light for generations.

       Such an event is part of the activities organized by the Department of Psychological Guidance and Educational Orientation at University of Alkafeel  to commemorate the occasions of the Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them) on campus, contributing to the consolidation of religious values and enhancing faith and cultural awareness among the university students and staff.
