On Tuesday, 10 March 2026, the Department of Medical Laboratory Technologies at the College of Medical and Health Technologies – University of Alkafeel organized a scientific lecture : "Empowering Women and Developing Their Leadership and Political Roles." The lecture was delivered by Asst. Lect. Raghad Maitham Hamid.
The lecture aimed to highlight the role of women in building society by empowering them, developing their leadership skills, and enhancing their political participation in decision-making. The lecture began from an Islamic religious perspective, which honors women and makes them active partners in societal reform, showcasing leading female figures from Islamic and human history up to the present day.
The lecture emphasized the importance of raising awareness about the role of women as essential partners in building society and decision-making, and encouraged academic institutions to support initiatives that promote women's empowerment.
